About Michelle
From an early age, Michelle’s curiosity about human behaviour sparked a journey that led her into clinical psychology. “What stops someone from truly hearing you?” “Why do two people react so differently to the same experience?” These questions shaped her passion for understanding the mind and body’s connection to life’s challenges.
Michelle’s therapeutic approach focuses on creating a secure and supportive environment where patients feel safe to explore their emotions and navigate life’s struggles. She draws on evidence-based frameworks like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring her work to each person’s unique needs. Michelle is particularly passionate about helping individuals develop skills in emotion regulation, mindfulness, and managing anxiety or depression.
Her experience spans hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private practice settings, where she has worked with adults, young people, and families to support mental health challenges and promote meaningful change. Michelle approaches therapy with warmth, groundedness, and a gentle sense of humour, ensuring her clients feel truly heard and valued.
Outside of therapy, Michelle enjoys staying active with sports like jogging, badminton, and yoga. She’s an avid fruit hunter, always on the lookout for seasonal picks. She loves spending time with her family, and enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, experimenting with new ingredients and recipes.
Her guiding philosophy?
“Healthy mind, healthy body.”
